When you're ready, walk up Avenue Road past the Memorial Village Hall and through the stone gateposts to Stonyhurst College.
The War Memorial was erected in 1920 and is today inscribed with the names of the dead of both world wars listed under the district of their residence - Aighton, Bailey or Chaigley.

Walk along Avenue Road towards Stonyhurst College and enjoy the spectacular view from the top of the avenue looking towards Stonyhurst College and the two large duck ponds. Walk down to the school gates where you will be greeted by a gaggle of geese and a waddle of ducks. Good luck choosing names for them all ... you'll find lots of new friends!
